The post-graduate Course in “EU funding for culture and creativity: project design and project management” has been delivered by the Department of Political Sciences at the University of Perugia since 2016. Currently in its 6th edition (2024), this post-graduate course focuses on EU funding for the cultural and creative industries.
The lessons delivered during the course cover the two main phases that characterize access to financial opportunities at the European level: project design (methods and techniques for creating competitive and innovative projects) and project management (a set of competences necessary for efficient coordination of activities and reporting).
Alongside these key aspects, other topics and areas relevant to the sector are also addressed by the programme, such as EU institutions and policies, the economics of the cultural sector, sociology, and communications. The didactic program lasts 300 hours, including a variety of workshops and case studies. A 400-hour internship is also part of the training pathway, with 30 qualified organizations affiliated as host institutions.
Thus far 70 people have graduated, from many different backgrounds, and with a wide variety of interests in the cultural sector. The Course is suitable for both new graduates and professionals looking to develop their expertise. The teaching staff includes 40 experts and professors selected for their experience and knowledge in the field of accessing and managing EU funds.
